Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.

Jeremy was born on June 25, 1977, in Minot, North Dakota, to Patrick (Pat) and Shelley (Brandt) Haugen. He was one of three sons and shared a close bond with his brothers, Justin Haugen (daughter, Dylan) and Tyler Haugen (wife, Haley; children Brandt, Jet, Hutch, and Eliza).

Jeremy was the proud and devoted father of two daughters, MaKennah Grace Haugen (fiancé, Nicholas Anderson) and Avery Faith Haugen, who were the center of his world and his greatest accomplishments.

He attended Washburn Public School, where he participated in golf and served as the football student manager, graduating in May of 1995. Jeremy went on to attend Bismarck State College, earning an Associate Degree in 1997.

Jeremy worked for several farm implement and machinery companies throughout his career, including RDO, Gooseneck, and most recently Titan Machinery. He had a rare ability to make instant friends and was well loved by both coworkers and customers alike.

Always on the move, Jeremy lived life with energy and creativity. He was extremely talented, creating custom wooden signs, beautiful paintings, and excelling in taxidermy. His strong work ethic led him to own and operate Heartland Taxidermy and Haugen’s Griffs, ventures he took great pride in.

Jeremy was a man of deep and unwavering faith. He was devoted to reading scripture and participated in several Bible studies throughout his life. He also had a deep love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Riding brought him peace and joy, he recently joined the Christian Motorcycle Association, combining his faith and passion.

Being a dad was Jeremy’s greatest joy. He loved teaching his girls life skills, hunting together, fleshing hides, and taking them for rides on his beloved Harley. One of his proudest moments was when Nicholas Anderson asked for his blessing and permission to marry MaKennah.

Over the past two years, Jeremy faced significant health challenges after being diagnosed with Wegener’s Autoimmune Disease. Though the journey was incredibly difficult and took a toll on his body, he fought bravely and with strength.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Dolores Haugen, Bette and Jerry Brandt; his step-grandmother, Alvina Brandt; and his many beloved dogs who brought him companionship, comfort, and unconditional love throughout his life.

He is now at peace, rejoicing in heaven. In Jeremy’s words, “Well, I gotta go.”
