Jeremy D. Whitmore, 46, of Bismarck, passed away on Saturday, September 27.
Jeremy will be cremated according to his wishes, and while there will be no formal services. Those who knew him are invited to share their memories and celebrate his life in their own way.
He was born on July 14, 1979, in Carrington, North Dakota, to Dale and Agnes (Feist) Whitmore. After a journey that took him around a bit, he settled in Bismarck where he graduated from Bismarck High School in 1998. Jeremy went on to earn his bachelor's degree in computer science from Dickinson State University.Though he held various jobs, Jeremy found joy in working as a prep cook at Famous Dave’s, which was one of his favorites. Most recently, he was a customer service rep at AnswerNet.
Jeremy had a true passion for music—he loved listening to his favorite tunes, going to concerts, and even picked up the bass guitar. His friend Ray Morrissey was often by his side, making memories over many fun interests like frisbee golf, playing pool, and catching up on Judge Judy and other court shows. He was also always up for a competitive game of pinochle and was a devoted cat lover and had a soft spot for dogs too.
Jeremy lived simply, much like the message of his favorite song, "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. He made a lasting impact in the lives of those around him and will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his parents, Agnes and Gary Bryant of Regan, North Dakota; his close friend Ray Morrissey, Bismarck; his paternal grandmother, Karen Bryant of Bismarck; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dale Whitmore, and several grandparents.May Jeremy rest in peace, and may we keep his spirit alive in our hearts.
