Jessie Dean Schuh, 47, passed away on May 23, 2026, at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 29, at First Lutheran Church, 800 N. 7th St., Bismarck, ND.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 28, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 3117 E. Century Ave., Bismarck. A prayer service will begin at 6:00 PM.

Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.

Jessie was born on March 7, 1979, in Mandan, ND, to John and Carrie Schuh. He was raised in Hurdsfield on the family farm. He attended school in Hurdsfield and later graduated from Harvey High School in 1997. In 1999, Jessie moved to Bismarck, where he began working at Jiffy Lube as an oil change technician. His natural ability with vehicles and strong work ethic, helped lead him into a lifelong career as a mechanic.

On September 29, 2001, Jessie married Valerie Wetzel in Tuttle, ND. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and many treasured memories. They had two children, Isabelle and Garrett, who were the pride and joy of Jessie’s life. He loved being their dad and enjoyed supporting and attending their trap shooting events.

Jessie worked as an auto mechanic for Capital Heights in Bismarck for several years and was currently employed with Bis-Man Auto Worx as an auto and diesel mechanic. Jessie was known for being dependable, hardworking, and skilled with anything mechanical.

Outside of work, Jessie had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and trap shooting. He found happiness in time spent outside, whether it was out in the field, by the water, or gathered with family and friends. Jessie also loved spending quality time with his beloved dogs, Bo and Rhett, who were special companions in his life.

Jessie will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love for his family, and the joy he found in simple, meaningful moments. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jessie is survived by his wife, Valerie Schuh; daughter, Isabelle Schuh and her significant other, Bodee Swarts; and son, Garrett Schuh, all of Bismarck; his parents, John and Carrie Schuh of Hurdsfield, ND; and his brother, Jamie Schuh of Hurdsfield, ND. Also his mother in law Pam Wetzel, brothers in law Ray (Samantha) Wetzel and Kurt (Denise) Wetzel and nephews Colton, Kendon, Braxton, Stetson and Tacey Wetzel, all of Bismarck

Jessie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer and Viola Schuh and Edwin and Rogean Mattheis; and his father-in-law, Ray Wetzel.
