John Arthur Christianson, 69, passed away on July, 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, August 5, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, 520 Raymond St, Bismarck, ND.

Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Tuesday, August 4, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. A Rosary/Vigil service will begin at 7pm.

Burial will be held at Mandan Union Cemetery, Mandan. Following the burial, friends and family are invited to join with the family for a luncheon at the Mandan Eagles, 1400 Collins Ave, Mandan.

John was born on July 10, 1957, in Kenmare, North Dakota, to Robert and Carole (Bloom) Christianson. He was raised in Lignite alongside his five siblings and graduated from Burke Central High School in 1975. Growing up on the family farm, John spent countless hours helping in his father's auto repair shop. Whether farming or repairing vehicles, those early years sparked a lifelong love and appreciation for cars. He later attended UND Williston, where he earned an associate degree in accounting.

John was previously married to Pamela Morgan, and together they were blessed with three children: Lee, Trisha, and Morgan, who remained the pride and joy of his life.

A position with Fireside Office Products brought John to Bismarck, where he built a successful career in the office supply industry. In 1990, he followed his entrepreneurial dream by founding LTM Business Concepts, a business lovingly named after his children.

John proudly owned and operated LTM for nearly 20 years before the company came full circle by merging with Fireside Office Solutions, where he eventually retired.

While working, John met Sheila Doll, who quickly became his best friend and devoted companion. They shared the last 17 years of life together, creating countless memories filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.

John was never one to sit still. Even in retirement, he continued working, taking on jobs at Walmart and later at the Lowe's Garden Center. He enjoyed fishing, auctioning and rummaging in his spare time. Whether he was in his garage, tending his yard and garden, or tackling a home renovation project, John approached everything with care and perfection. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident in all that he created.

Of all the roles he held, being "Grandpa" was one he treasured most. He never missed an opportunity to spoil his grandchildren, always greeting them with a special bag filled with candy and treats—a tradition they will forever cherish. John also had a deep love for animals. He and Sheila raised Pomeranians and Shih Tzus, and he held a special place in his heart for his pups Jasmine, Rusty, Friskie, Muffin, and especially his beloved Oscar and Daisy, his faithful lapdog along with his tuxedo cat, Boots.

John was a devoted Catholic and a faithful member of Cathedral of the Holy Spirit. His faith, strong work ethic, generosity, and love for family will be remembered by all who knew him.

John is survived by his children, Lee (Heather) Christianson, Trisha (Jon) Reis and Morgan Hauck; grandchildren, Jayden Christianson, Cooper Pfau, Keira Reis, Kenzie Reis, Aria Reis, Brynna Hauck and Brody Hauck; mother, Carole Christianson; significant other, Sheila Doll and her children, Jason (Liz) Pitzer and Amanda (Jeff) Allen; siblings, Nancy (Kirk) Pandolfo, Roger (Kimberly) Christianson, Jay Christianson and Daniel Christianson; brother-in-law, Vern Larsen, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Robert, sister Rebecca Larsen and his beloved puppy, Jasmine.

John's legacy lives on through the family he loved, the friendships he built, and the countless lives he touched through his kindness, hard work, and quiet generosity. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
