John Wayne Pfliger was born in Bismarck, North Dakota on May 28, 1979, to Patricia Francis (Taix) and Richard Anthony Pfliger. He grew up in Bismarck where he was active in basketball, hunting, art, golf, cooking and working with children. He pursued a degree in diesel mechanics in Wahpeton, North Dakota.

John is preceded in death by his father Richard and his oldest brother Richard Jr. John is survived by his mother Patricia; and five siblings, Gwen (Scott and Tressa) Bishop, Burton (Pattie) Pfliger, Paula (Andrew, Sarah, and Katie) Graner, Mindy (Bob, Xavier, Remmington, Ayden, Easton, and Misty Jo) Richardson, Jesse (Elise, Anna, John, Kennedy and Jacqueline) Pfliger.

John worked for Tires Plus as a service manager and then branched out on his own and started Timeless Rides. Where he specialized in classic car restoration. John loved anything to do with cars and exhibited cars at local car shows as well.

John was an avid hunter and went on several hunting trips to Montana, South Dakota and Canada. He did bow hunting and rifles. John loved being outdoors and in nature, that is where he felt at home. Over the years, John had multiple dogs. Lani was his hunting companion, and his dog Fiona is one of the smartest dogs he had ever worked with. He loved her very much. Fiona is missing John.

John married Brooke Kemmit in 2012. Brooke’s son Jairdyn and John were good friends and Jairdyn even worked at the shop with John. John married Sara Saddick in 2021.

In March of this year John survived a terrible accident that left him with only one usable limb. He was recovering and healing. During his recovery he was able to reconnect to another passion of his, sketching. And in so doing he taught himself how to sketch with his left hand and was successful. It was an amazing feat, most of us cannot even write our own name with our nondominant hand.

John loved others deeply and had a servant’s heart. Everyone John met liked him and became immediate friends. He will be missed by all. John and his mom had a very special relationship, they were confidants for each other. Mom worked for John for many years at Timeless Rides. Their birthdays are only one day apart.
