Katherine Kay Halse was called to heaven on January 27, 2020. A celebration of life will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Ave, Bismarck.

She was born on August 4, 1975 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Richard and Sandra (White) Karash. She attended and graduated from East High School in Cheyenne in 1993.

Kathy married Brian Halse on September 29, 2000 and they resided in Menoken, North Dakota. She worked in the healthcare insurance field and later for the North Dakota State government retirement system.

Kathy was active and loved to play both volleyball and softball and participated on numerous championship teams. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors. She had an extensive collection of 1980’s movies, Fabergé Eggs, and Vintage Blue Willow Dinner Plates.

She is survived by her husband, Brian Halse of Menoken, ND; mother, Sandra Karash of Cheyenne, WY; brother Christopher Karash of Aurora, CO; and her step-son, Mark Halse of Williston, ND.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Richard Karash and brother-in-law, Christopher Adkins.
