Kathleen (Dollinger) Richards, 74, passed away April 28, 2026, in Bismarck, ND.

A visitation and memorial will be held May 5 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Edgewood Village Chapel, 3124 Colorado Ln., Bismarck, ND.

Burial will be held at 2:00 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

Kathy was born on October 26, 1951, to Albert and Christine (Schrenk) Dollinger in Eureka, S.D. She was raised in Venturia, graduated from Ashley High School, attended North Dakota State School of Science, and graduated from Bismarck Junior College. Kathy enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1979, serving at Ft. Carson, Colorado and Germany. She met and married Ernesto Rosa in Hanau, Germany. They were married for several years.

Following her return to Bismarck, she worked at Burleigh County Social Services and Open-Door Community Center. She had lived in the Edgewood Village community since 2011.

Kathy was strong in her Christian faith and enjoyed listening to KNDR Christian radio 24/7. She was a selfless and joyous woman who always had a smile on her face. She gave everything she had to help others in need. Her constant love and support were endless.

Family was always close to her heart. Kathy is survived by her daughter, Maria Rosa; granddaughter, Adriana Ellwein; sister, Pam (Lyle) Matthews; two nephews and their families.
