IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Keith
Farrell
June 14, 1953 – January 20, 2026
Keith Farrell, 72, of Bismarck passed away on January 20, 2026. In lieu of a service, a celebration of his life will be held this summer.
Keith’s journey took him through a lot of different phases. However, he always valued certain things in life. One was a love of the water. It didn’t matter if it was the beaches of California or the sandbars of the Missouri. Keith loved concerts: blues, classic rock, and stadium rock. Coins, stamps, and presidential autographs were a passion.
He loved to make people laugh. Some people only knew him as “Toby the Clown”, or the “Dirty Old Man” from when he would get into costume. As one of six kids, he referred to himself as “Number Four” often, mostly to annoy the brother he called “Number Two”. When he did security, his charm and humor did most of the work to keep things from getting physical. Even when he wore a suit to work daily in Los Angeles, he would switch into shorts and Smurf socks to get a smile and push the dress codes of snobby restaurants.
But most of all, Keith loved family. He could make the kids laugh, had orange Tic-Tics for them, and would let them ride his scooter. He loved his brothers and sister fiercely. In the end, he drifted off to family telling stories and occasionally a dirty joke- the perfect way to conclude a rock star life.
Keith is survived by his mother Clementine; brothers, Chipper (Renee), Ron and Dennis; sister Michelle (Larry) Aamold; life-long friend, Ann; son, Christopher (Toni); nieces and nephews, Felicia (Marcus) Harrell, Shawn, Micheal, Nichole (Jeremy) Moos, Kevin (Taiah, Robin (Jay Jay) Culbertson, Jacob Aamold, Coltan Aamold, Haley (Dalton) Bohl; grandchildren, Catherine and Elliott; and many grand-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Paul; brother, Randy; sister-in-law Shirley; and grandson, Paul Aiden.
