Delvin “Keith” Muth, 78, of Bismarck, passed away June 17, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. The family will greet guests beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan. After the burial, the family invites guests to gather at Keith and Sally’s home to share memories and refreshments.

Keith was born on November 29, 1946, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Delvin and Wilma (Trapp) Muth. He was raised in Enderlin, where he graduated from Enderlin High School in 1965. He enjoyed sports throughout his life, playing football in high school, fast-pitch softball as a young man, and golfing well into his later years.

After high school, Keith joined the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1965 to 1969 as a Morse Intercept Operator with the U.S. Air Force Security Service. He spent three years stationed in Japan, where he monitored and decoded international communications as part of Cold War intelligence efforts.

Following his honorable discharge, Keith attended technical school in Glasgow, Montana, and began a long career as a service technician with Pitney Bowes. He had a natural gift for fixing things, especially anything electronic, and spent over 40 years traveling the region on service calls.

On January 16, 1972, he married the love of his life, Sally Mark, at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Sheldon. Together they raised two children, Laura and Daniel, and later welcomed grandchildren and great-grandchildren into their lives. In 1977, the family settled in Bismarck.

Keith was a quiet, steady, and stoic presence who showed his love not through big displays but through unwavering reliability and quiet strength. If you were one of his people, you knew it; he never broke a promise and could always be counted on. He loved to tease and had a dry sense of humor that his family cherished.

Whether outdoors or online, he found joy in friendly competition and sharing those moments with others. Throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. In later years, he played virtual golf online, forming friendships with players from around the world.

Some of Keith’s happiest days were at the family cabin on Round Lake. He could happily spend a day on the boat with a fishing rod in hand, or an hour without complaint cleaning a bucket of sunfish the kids caught off the dock. He loved pulling the kids on tubes, dunking his brothers in the lake, or getting tossed off himself by his equally competitive siblings. Evenings were often spent around a campfire or at the table playing cards for hours. He treasured those quiet mornings on the water and the simple joy of being surrounded by family.

Above all, Keith loved his family deeply and took quiet pride in each of them.

He is survived by his wife, Sally; his children, Laura (Jeremy) and Daniel; grandchildren, Ean (Jordan), Sean (Sam), Delvin, Isaac, Benjamin, Kashton, Brielle, and Aria; great-grandchildren, Abby, Oliver, Noah, Renly, and Sebastian; his brothers, Roger (Gloria), Larry (Carey), and Curtis (Karin); and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant brother, Wayne.

And for those who know… gotcha last, Dad.
