Obituary

Kenneth (Ken) Larry Bleth, 75, Menoken, set forth on the long awaited boat ride to visit his Heavenly Father on Monday, September 21, 2026. He spent his final moments with his loving wife, son, brother, sister-in-law, and godson at his side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Monday, September 28, at Ascension Catholic Church, 1825 S. 3rd St., Bismarck, ND.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Sunday, September 27, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 3117 E Century Ave., Bismarck. A Rosary/ Vigil service will begin at 7 PM.

Burial will be held at 1PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.

Ken was born on August 8, 1951, in Richardton, ND. He was one of four children born to Simon and Helen (Bergenheier) Bleth. He attended school in Taylor, ND, while also living in Wyoming for a short time. Following high school, he pledged his service to the US Army from 1971-1973. This commitment took him to Germany, including security detail for the Olympics in Munich.

Ken met the dearest love of his life, Cynthia (Cindy) Kopp, shortly after he returned home from service. They were married on April 4, 1975, at St. Mary's Church in Richardton. They moved to Beach in 1984, where they lived until 1987. During this time, they formed friendships that would become lifelong family.

Ken and Cindy moved to Williston, ND, in 1987, where they would live until 2001. During this time, Ken served as Parts Manager for Vallely Sport and Marine. They moved to Menoken in 2001, where Ken would spend the remainder of his life. He continued to serve as Parts Manager at Vallely Sport and Marine in Bismarck, until retirement in 2019.

When not working, Ken deeply cherished the opportunities to hunt and fish with his dad, brothers, son, family, and closest friends. Many summer weekends and vacations were spent camping and fishing at Lake Sakakawea with family and friends. He found immense joy and pride in watching his grandchildren grow up, and they became a light in the latter part of his life. Jake, Jag, and Jax were faithful, loyal companions to Ken as man's best friends.

Blessed to have shared in his life are his wife, Cindy; son, Darren; grandchildren, Mila, Noah, Terric, Tré, and Mary; sister, Geri Bleth; brothers, Dwight (Carol) Bleth and Dave (Char) Bleth.

Ken was preceded in death by his dearest loving parents, Simon and Helen Bleth; his brother-in-law, father-in-law; grandparents; aunts; uncles; and cousins; along with cherished friends.

The family extends its sincerest gratitude to the Sanford Health Hospice Team, for the grace and compassion given to Ken and Cindy.

In place of flowers, Ken requested that donations be made to the Church of the Ascension, Building Fund.
