Ken was born to Barbara Scherr and Joseph Landsberger February 18, 1936 in Hazelton ND.

He married Genevieve Keller October 5, 1955. There were five children born of this union: Richard, Mary Jo, Andrew, Robert, and Brenda. When this marriage ended, Ken married Marlene Franklund Klein on October 14, 1972, and two more children were welcomed to his family: Troy and Tamara. Ken was a very loving but stern family man. He enjoyed family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was never too busy to give advice or help any family member in need.

Ken was a carpenter – he started building houses, owned his own construction company, then became a teacher at both the ND State Penitentiary and Bismarck State College, where he retired. He was the President of the Home Builders Association for a time. Ken also loved horses – training and showing, as well as teaching his children to do the same. He was the President of the Bismarck Horse Club and ran Landsberger Quarter Horses.

Ken loved camping with family, boating and skiing at his former lake cabin. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he and Marlene relished travelling during their retirement as well.

Ken was a very special man and will be loved and missed by all of us.

Ken is survived by his wife, Marlene; his children and their spouses: Richard and Marie, Mary Jo and special friend Judy, Andrew and LaRhonda, Robert and Tammy, Brenda, Troy and Heather Klein, and Tamara and Danny Keough; brother, Gerald (Kathy) Landsberger; sister, Alice Eckroth; grandchildren: Natasha and Mat Carter, Tessa Morast, Brian and Alex Phelps, Brandon Boehm, Jerome and Katie Klein, Ryan and Katelynn Landsberger, Harley and Kayla Engel, Ariel and Steve Weishaar, Alex Landsberger, Hope Landsberger, Cheyanne and Colby Dukart, Thomas Landsberger, Mica Klein, Megan Keough, Trevor Keough, Nicolas Keough, and Tanner Keough; along with his 16 great-grandchildren: Trysten, Landon, Kamden, Atiana, Kaleb, Emily, Zoey, Jacob, Eve, Lily, Kylee, Jeremiah, Fynn, Owen, Myla, and Alora.
