Kim Klundt

September 14, 1959 — June 4, 2025

Kim Klundt, 65, of Bismarck, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, at Encore Memory Care in Hugo, MN. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 13, at Parkway Funeral Service 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Kim’s life; visitation will begin at 9:30 A.M.

Kim was born on September 14, 1959, in Jamestown, North Dakota, to Phyllis (Gall) Kocher and James “Jim” Kocher. She spent her childhood in Wishek, ND, where she attended Wishek High School and made lifelong memories.

Shortly after moving to Bismarck, Kim began her long and fulfilling career as a receptionist at Eide Bailly, where she dedicated 40 years of service. Greeting clients and helping people brought her so much joy—she was often the first friendly face visitors saw, and her warmth and professionalism made a lasting impression.

Above all else, Kim was a devoted mother. She married Bob Klundt in 1984, and together they had two wonderful children, Taylor and Katie. Kim adored them deeply, always ensuring they were cared for, supported, and dressed to the nines. Her love extended into her role as a grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her grandsons, Oliver and Aiden, especially reading bedtime stories and sharing giggles during bath time. Her presence was a comforting and joyful constant in their lives, and she took great pride in watching them grow.

Kim shared a wonderful life with her long-time partner, Scott Macintosh. Together, they found joy in traveling to warm, sunny places—Scottsdale and Palm Springs among their favorites. They delighted in trying new cuisines, attending golf tournaments, and spending peaceful days at the lake cabin. Their adventures were filled with laughter, love, and a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.

Kim also found happiness in everyday joys—shopping (especially for the perfect pair of shoes), boating on the Missouri River in Bismarck, and relaxing at the family cabin in Battle Lake, Minnesota. She had a great sense of humor, a keen eye for style, and a knack for making every holiday and celebration feel special.

Kim is survived by her son, Taylor (Kathryn) Klundt; her daughter, Katie Klundt; and her grandsons, Oliver and Aiden Klundt. She is also survived by her partner, Scott Macintosh; her sister, Lori (Vic) Cowan; her nieces, Danielle (Christopher) Cook and Alexis Peck; and her nephew, Conor Peck.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Glenn.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the care team at Encore Memory Care in Hugo, Minnesota, and to Hospice of the Midwest for their compassionate care and support during Kim’s final months.
