LaVerne (Schock) Stroh, 92, of Bismarck, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025 at Baptist Health & Rehab.

A Visitation will be 5-7 PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck, and will also be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens
LaVerne was born October 31, 1932, in Burnstad, ND, the daughter of Herbert and Carolina Schock. After the passing of her mother, LaVerne was raised by her aunt and uncle, Margaret and William Schock. She attended country school in Logan County and Lehr High School.
LaVerne married Rudolph Stroh on July 5,1952 in Bismarck. She made a career of cooking as she thoroughly enjoyed cooking, baking, and crocheting afghans and doilies for family and friends. She also enjoyed playing cards and bingo whenever she had the opportunity. LaVerne was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary.
LaVerne and Rudolph were blessed with 4 sons and 1 daughter. Her family was her greatest pride and joy and she always enjoyed spending time with them. LaVerne is survived by her children and their spouses, Dale (Betty) Stroh, Allen (Karen) Stroh, Coreen (Gary) Richter, and daughter-in-law, Wanda (Jim) Powell; 11 grandchildren, Natasha Stroh, Jessica (Alex) Miller, Amanda (Jayse) Schwan, Nathan (Samantha) Stroh, Ryan (Savanna) Stroh, Sara (Cole) Olson, Jeremy Kraft, Alicia (Brandon) Christmann, Kristi (Sheldon) Weisbeck, Jason (Megan) Richter, Matthew (Lexus) Richter; and 20 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her half-sisters, Phyllis Neukircher, and Arleen Walker.
LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents; stepparents; in-laws, Eva and Jacob Stroh; husband, Rudolph; sons, James and Floyd; brother, Lawrence Schock; half-sister, Delores Fennern; half-brother, Robert Schock; stepsisters Christina Schibley and Eleanor Phillips; and stepbrothers, William and Isadore Schock.
LaVerne will be missed and forever loved by her family and friends.
