Lawrence P.E. Koffler went to his heavenly home on May 24, 2026, at Good Samaritan Society – Sunset Drive, Mandan. He was 89 years old, two months shy of his 90th birthday.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 3117 E Century Ave, Bismarck, ND.

Larry was born to Joseph and Mary (Roll) Koffler on July 29, 1936, in Taylor, ND. He was raised and educated in Werner, ND with his many siblings; 10 brothers and one sister. He shared many stories with his own children about his early years and growing up with 11 siblings on the family farm.

Larry started his own business as a painting and decorating contractor in Bismarck, ND and worked all over ND and Alaska. He loved the rugged beauty and wildlife of Alaska. Larry and his family moved to Wing, ND in the early 1970s where he farmed until the 1990s.

Larry loved vintage tractors and refurbished an old John Deere tractor that he purchased at an auction sale. He was proud to show off the work he put into the tractor each summer in the Wing Parade. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, and gardening, which kept him busy after his retirement.

Larry is survived by three children, Terry Koffler of Bismarck, Tami (Michael) Vallarano of Forest Lake, MN and Larry (Cabrini) Koffler of Bismarck; grandchildren Kathryn (Taylor) Green of Hettinger, ND and Nate Koffler of Bismarck; his siblings, Maurice Koffler of Alameda, CA, Ronald (Sheila) Koffler of Bismarck and Gene (Martie) Koffler of Duluth, GA; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Koffler; siblings, RoseMarie Kuhn, Waldemar Koffler, Charles Koffler, Gary Koffler, Clyde Koffler, Joseph Koffler, Jr., Ralph Koffler and Kevin Koffler; and his partner, JoyAnn Holsten.
