Leo J. Grosz, 54, Mandan, passed away on December 11, 2023 from a tragic accident.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday Dec. 18, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. Family will begin greeting guests one hour prior to the service.
Leo was born on July 14, 1969 to Baldwin and Mary Jane Grosz in Mandan, ND.
He received his GED in 1988 and went on to earn an associates welding degree from Bismarck State College. Following college, Leo began his career working for Bobcat.
He married Dawn Grosz on July 16, 1994, and to this union three beautiful children were born. He met Bobbi Clarke in 2018 where he shared many wonderful memories until his passing.
Leo worked for Bobcat for approximately 18 years before starting at Falkirk Mine where he enjoyed the mining process for a few years. Waste management was his last place of employment. He took every opportunity he could to be with his kids and he was very proud of his children. He was a man who took great pride in his work and would do anything for anybody.
Leo was an outdoors man who greatly enjoyed hunting, shooting, camping, kayaking and sitting around a campfire with friends. If he was outdoors, he was happy. He also enjoyed woodworking, listening to music, showing his kids their vehicles, monster trucks, demolition derbies, RC cars, and of course, working on cars.
Leo is survived by his sons, Tyler Grosz and Cameron Grosz, daughter, Alexandria Grosz, and their mother, Dawn Grosz; his significant other, Bobbi Clarke, and her children, Dani (Luke) Lennon, their kids, Wes and Sadie, Jensen (Treven) Clarke, and Aleah Clarke; brother, Mike Grosz; nephews, Jericho Swanson, Taner Swanson and Chance Grosz; and many aunts & uncles.
Leo was preceded in death by his father, Baldwin Grosz; mother, Mary Jane Grosz; and infant brother, Anton Grosz.
