Lois Eichhorst, 82, Bismarck, died November 28, 2018, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 5, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Washburn Cemetery.

Lois was born December 7, 1935, in Eau Claire, WI, the youngest daughter of LeRoy and Hanna Thorpe. The family moved to Grand Forks, ND, and Lois graduated from Grand Forks High School in 1954. She went on to attend and graduate from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, in 1958.

Lois worked as a social worker in Austin, MN, and moved to the St. Paul area in 1967. She married Robert Eichhorst in 1970 and their son, Eric, was born in 1974. The family moved to Bismarck in 1993.

Lois enjoyed knitting, especially for the M.S. Foundation, traveling, and was a member of the Sons of Norway. She was very generous, loving, and kind-hearted.

Lois is survived by her son, Eric; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents; and her sister, Betty.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the M.S. Society.
