Loretta Cermak, 77, Bismarck, passed away on Nov. 22, 2020. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1 at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, 519 Raymond St, Bismarck. Masks will be required for the funeral mass and visitation.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. A rosary/vigil service will begin at 7 p.m.
Burial will be held at Mandan Union Cemetery, Mandan.
She was born in Mandan on Nov. 25, 1942. Loretta graduated from Mandan High School.
She was married to Duane Cermak on June 20, 1964. Their children to the marriage were Wade, Troy and Wendy.
Loretta worked for Sanford Health for 33 years where she loved to spend her time caring for others. After retirement, she continued to dedicate her time and brighten other’s lives by volunteering at Seeds of Hope with her dear friend, Linda. She loved staying busy, going for walks, dancing and spending her time with family and friends. Her beautiful smile and loving heart will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Wade (Kim) Cermak, Fargo, Troy (Judy) Cermak, Grand Forks, and Wendy (Mark) Chambers, Evans, Colo.; grandchildren, Brandon, Austin, Madison, Jacob and Matthew; and sister, Bobbie (Bill) Mitzel.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Pitzer; mother, Katherine (Wenger) Mosbrucker; and stepfather, Harry Mosbrucker.
