Lucille Berreth (Lucy Wangler) was born September 12, 1939, and passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, at the St. Benedictine Living Community Center in Bismarck, ND, at the age of 86.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Monday, May 18, at Church of St. Anne, 1321 Braman Ave, Bismarck, ND.
Burial will be held at 1 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
Lucy was born and raised in the small parish of St. Boniface, just south of Napoleon, ND, where she was baptized and confirmed. She was educated in Napoleon and graduated in 1957.
She met and married Kenneth J. Berreth on August 23, 1957, in St. Boniface. In this union, seven children were born: Kim Bennett, Las Vegas, NV; Karla Huizenga (Dwight), Bismarck, ND; Kent (Kirsty), Spokane, WA; Kevin (Kathy), Fargo, ND; Killian (Danette), Tucson, AZ; Kyla (Greg), Danville, VA; and Koni Berreth (Eric), Rapid City, SD.
Lucy is survived by her brother, Larry (Diana), Madison, MN; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many cousins.
Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; parents, John W. and Theresia (Glatt) Wangler; brothers, Adam and Felix; and sisters, Maggie Schumacher (Don) and Theresia Sundsbak (Joe).
Lucy was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her house was always open and welcoming to all. She will be deeply missed.
May she rest in peace.
