Lucille Kessler

Lucille Katherine Kessler, 81, Bismarck, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023.

A funeral service will be held on Monday,  March 20th at 11:00AM at Faith Lutheran Church, 1402 E. Ave. C, Bismarck, ND.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 19th at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave. from 3PM - 6PM and continue one hour prior to funeral.

Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.

Lucille was born on May 19, 1941, to August and Lydia Neuberger in Beulah, ND. After Lucille graduated from Beulah High School in 1959, she attended business college in Rapid City, SD, earning her associate degree.

On Sept. 2, 1960, she married her high school sweetheart, Garrie Kessler, in Beulah. Lucille and Garrie went on to have four children, Brent, Kurt, Brenda and Kyle. Early in her marriage, she worked at MDU for several years. Years later she worked at the Credit Bureau of Bismarck which she and her husband owned.

She enjoyed bowling and participated in a league for many years. An active member of Faith Lutheran Church, she organized the Wednesday night church school for 30 years.

Lucille is survived by her children, Kurt, Brenda and Kyle; granddaughter, Riley Kroh; nephews, Wayne, James and Melvin Neuberger, and Dalton (Vera) Goetz; niece, Char (Mark) Graham; sister-in-law, Erma Neuberger; and close friends.

Lucille was preceded in death by her son, Brent Garrie Kessler; parents, August and Lydia Neuberger; and siblings, Gordon and Elmer Neuberger, and Elaine Goetz.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Diabetes Association, PO BOX 7023, Merrifield, VA, 22116-7023.
