Maddy Olson

Madison Paige Olson passed away at home on June 16, 2024 from natural causes at the age of 23.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, June 22 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a prayer service starting at 6:00PM, Friday, June 21 at Parkway Funeral Service.

Maddy was born on February 6, 2001 to Travis "Thumper" and Roz Olson. She grew up in the Bismarck area, graduating from Legacy High School. Following her graduation, she studied massage therapy.

Maddy sang beautifully. She went to karaoke every Tuesday with her mom and consistently wowed everyone with her voice. Maddy liked ice skating and loved when she had the opportunity to sing the national anthem for motocross events where she enjoyed riding as well. 

Maddy was a friendly and open person; she loved kids, adored her dogs and was passionate about animals. She had a standout personality and was vivaciously spirited. She could, all at once be upbeat and spicy and sweet but no matter her disposition her fierce love for her family and friends is always apparent.

She is survived by her parents, Travis "Thumper" and Roz; brother, Tate (Brooklyn), grandparents, Kenny and Linda Olson, Shirley (Don Olson) Barnick, Marvin Barnick; uncle/godfather, Jason Olson; aunt, Shelly (Larry) Magstadt; cousins, Josh, Jordon (Jordan), Jamison (Jaycee) and Jaslyn (Cole); godmother, Deanna Berg and many extended family.

She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Faye Olson, Constantine and Caroline Zahn, Emil and Mary Kramlich and James and Annie Barnick.
