Marilyn J. Hagen, 89, Bismarck, passed away June 30, 2024.

A memorial service will be held Monday, July 8 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 106 Osage Ave, Bismarck.

Family will greet guests Sunday, July 7 from 5:30 to 6:30PM at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway Funeral Service, where a prayer service will begin at 6:30PM.

Marilyn J. Hagen was born December 11, 1934 the youngest child of parents Alfred Tweten and Gina (Hagen) Tweten. The family moved to Devils Lake, ND when she was an infant and she grew up attending schools there. Following graduation from Devils Lake High School she was employed at the First National Bank.

In 1956 she was united in marriage to Roger Hagen. They moved to Dickinson, ND where they resided for ten years and made many lifelong friends. Marilyn was a stay-at-home mom and became very active in the community. Living in the western part of the state where hunting was plentiful and being married to an avid hunter, she became an excellent cook of wild game.

In 1969, they moved to Bismarck where she became immersed in activities she loved and made many friendships playing bridge and golf. She was a member of Apple Creek Country club for many years and a wedding coordinator at Good Shepherd Lutheran church for fifteen years. She was a member of PEO and was recognized as a fifty-year member in 2015.

She and Roger enjoyed traveling and after spending vacations in Florida when Roger retired, they spent several months every winter there.

Always thoughtful of others she believed in doing random acts of kindness for family and friends.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Beth (Ron) Wald and Karen Grezaffi; grandson, Roger Grezaffi; and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; parents; sister, Vi Summers and brother, Chester Tweten.
