Marion (Bailey) Iverson, age 88, died May 28, 2022, at Miller Pointe Home in Mandan, ND. 

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at Evangel Church, 3225 N 14th St, Bismarck. 

Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 East Divide Ave, Bismarck. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens. 

Marion was born February 1, 1934, at her parents (Vernon & Louise (Brohn) Bailey), farm home near Wing. She attended school at Florence Lake Township School and in Wing, graduating as the class valedictorian.  

Marion moved to Bismarck after high school and married George A. Iverson. Together they had two children, a daughter (Lorna) and a son (Kevin).  

She worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 30 years as an Operator, Service Assistant, Night Chief Operator, and Right of Way Engineer. She also worked for 14 years at North Dakota Guaranty and Title Co. as a Title Searcher.  

After retiring she became a RSVP volunteer at the ND Insurance Department and various public service organizations. She also donated over 10 gallons of blood during her lifetime.  

She loved life, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her dear friends.  She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, especially making (and selling) dish cloths, as well as afghans which were given away to family and friends.  

Blessed to share her life are her daughter, Lorna Lopez, and son Kevin (Carrie) Iverson.  She had 6 wonderful Grandchildren: Jason (Rachel) Tjomsland, Richard (Amanda) Lopez, Keenan Lopez, Andrew (Kim) Iverson, Sarah (Cody) Nelson, and Rachel (Jacob) Iverson Schafer.  Beloved Great-Grandchildren include Katie and Bret Tjomsland, Ritchie and Randy Lopez, Jacob and Corban Iverson, and Jackson and Juliana Lopez, honorary grandchildren, Miranda, Lance, and Brandon Schuler, Anthony, Cooper and Kylee Cox, and Krista Glasser; sisters, Lois Seeley, Bismarck, Mavis Stastny (Glenn), rural Mandan, and Lenord Bailey, Springfield, MO, many nephews and nieces, and many friends.    

Marion was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth Bailey; and sister, Alta Anderson.
