Mark Handy Benesh, aged 75, went to his eternal home on May 10, 2025. He was born on March 10, 1950, in Bismarck, ND. Mark attended Bismarck High School and Bismarck State College. Later in life, he earned his insurance and financial broker license. He had a distinguished career as a financial advisor with Prudential. Mark always offered a personal touch to his clients and many of them became close friends.

Mark was a devout Christian and an active member of his church. His faith was an inspiration to his family and will leave a lasting impact. Mark was a stoic man but had a witty sense of humor he revealed to those closest to him. He was a generous man and an exceptional provider to his wife and family. Mark enjoyed a good cigar on the back patio with his beloved wife and dog, while viewing the natural beauty of the prairie. He had a soft spot in his heart for animals. He and his wife had numerous birds, dogs, and cats over the years to include Beaker his bird and Boe his dog, who preceded him in death.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kathy Benesh, as well as his son Michael Benesh and his wife; two step-children Jerome Kottsick and Rayetta Fettig and their spouses; his three siblings Mary Dee Martoche, Dorie Refling, and Brian Benesh and their families; as well as eight grandchildren (Dylan Kottsick, Mariah Kottsick, Brian Chaussee, Jordan Chaussee, Estella Kottsick, Brooklyn Fettig, Orlando Benesh and Brandon Benesh). Mark is preceded in death by his parents Marjorie Benesh and Earl Benesh, and his brother Miles Jon.
