Marlene Redmann

July 28, 1944 — December 25, 2023

Marlene Redmann passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023, at age of 79 at the Baptist Health Care Center in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Visitation will be held at 10:30 am, with the funeral service following at 11:30 am, Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 East Divide Ave, Bismarck.

Burial will be held at 2:00 pm at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

Marlene (Bickel) Redmann, daughter of Jacob and Emma (Becher) Bickel was born July 28, 1944.

She was raised on a farm at Blue Grass, ND until the age of 12, later moving to Glen Ullin, ND with her mother.

She attended and graduated from Glen Ullin Public Schools.

As a young girl, Marlene’s dream was to be a secretary. In her senior year of high school, she began her dream career working for Ted Boutrous, Attorney at Law in Glen Ullin, ND

Marlene married the love of her life Garry Redmann on April 19, 1965 at Peace Church, New Salem, ND.

They resided in Bismarck, ND their entire married life and were long time members of Evangel Temple.

When Ted Boutrous moved his law firm to Bismarck, Marlene worked for him until his retirement.  Marlene also worked for March of Dimes, American Family Insurance, and Jewel Eggs. She dedicated much of her time assisting Garry with their photography business taking photography of weddings and special events for many people for more than 30 years. 

Marlene and Garry enjoyed traveling and camping often visiting state and national parks. One of their favorite places to visit was Medora, ND where they took numerous photos in the Badlands.

She is survived by her nephew Don (Carol) Redmann, Mapelton, ND; nieces Pam Dugan, Elk River, MN, and Michele (Lee) Seaman, Piedmont, SD; many great nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Luella Kroh.

She was preceded in death by her husband Garry and her parents.
