Marshia Ann (Kambeitz) Fladeland, 76, of Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away on September 5, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Marshia was born on April 3, 1949, in Rugby, North Dakota, to Michael and Inez (Hust) Kambeitz. She was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a genuine spirit who touched the lives of many.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lori (Daymon) Mills of Bismarck, ND, her granddaughter Katrina, and her great-granddaughter Ophelia. Terry (Steven) Macdonald of Moffit, ND, and her grandchildren Matthew, Joseph, Nathan, and Abigail. Her son, Gary (Rebecca) Fladeland of White Earth; her grandchildren, Alex, Natalie, and great-grandchild, Parklynn, Zanoblia, and great-grandchild, Caiden, Sophia, Zach and great-niece, Taliah. Her brother, Frank (Betty) Kambeitz of Dickinson; sisters, Kathryn Halbaedier of Williston, Mary (Duane) Forsberg of Williston, and Marlene (Charles) Ellis of Williston. She is preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Inez (Hust) Kambeitz, her brothers Michael (Mikey) Kambeitz and Sebastian (Sebby) Kambeitz, and her sister Linda Morgan. Her brother-in-law, Lewis Halbaedier. Her niece Melissa and her nephews, Ronnie, John (Johnny), and Joshua.
Throughout her life, Marshia was known for her strong work ethic, strength, sense of humor, compassion, and generosity. Marshia enjoyed reading, puzzles, and gardening. She spent countless hours caring for her garden/flower beds and took great pride in them. Marshia's favorite pastime was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They always made her face light up and brought her great joy. She always looked forward to their visits and being able to attend their activities. Her love, wisdom, and honesty will be remembered by all who knew her.
A private graveside service for family and close friends will be held on September 21 at The Sloan Glencoe First Presbyterian Church in Hazelton, ND, beginning at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Bismarck Cancer Center in her memory.
