Marvin David Riskevich, 91, Baldwin, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026 in a Bismarck Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 1919 N 2nd St. Bismarck.
Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery.
In keeping with Marvin’s wishes, we encourage friends and family to consider making a donation in his name to the ND Veterans Cemetery instead of sending flowers.
Born on May 25, 1935, in Snow, ND, to William and Anna (Baranko) Riskevich, Marvin attended country school until the 8th grade before enlisting in the US Army in January 1954. He proudly served 17 months in Korea and was honorably discharged in January 1957.
Farming had Marvin’s heart, and he worked the land near Belfield, ND, On May 20, 1962, he married Wyonne Weitz in Belfield, and they welcomed two children, Kevin and Kelly. Marvin earned his GED and furthered his education in accounting at Bismarck Junior College, which helped guide his career with various companies over the years, including Schultz and Lindsay, Northern Improvement, and Fisher Sand and Gravel, where he worked for 38 years.
Marvin was deeply involved in his community, serving on the Lincoln Township School Board and the Veterans of Foreign Wars board. He was a proud member of the Elks, American Legion, and Disabled American Veterans, always dedicated to supporting fellow veterans.
He is survived by his son, Kevin, and daughter-in-law, Jennifer, along with his grandchildren, Abigail and Kendall.
Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Wyonne; son, Kelly; parents, William and Anna and siblings, Josephine and Steve.
