Mary Ann Bruenjes, 90, Bismarck, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026.

A funeral service will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 615 E Turnpike Ave., Bismarck. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. To view the service livestream, please click the link provided~ Mary Ann. 

Mary Ann was born on December 24, 1935 in Waukon, Iowa to Harold and Clara Ryan. In 1957 she graduated from Washington University School of Nursing in St. Louis.

She married Irvin Bruenjes on July 11, 1959 in St. Louis, MO. They celebrated 65 years of marriage on July 11, 2024. Rev. Bruenjes passed away on July 20, 2024.

Mary is survived by her son, Don (Jackie) Bruenjes, West Fargo, ND; daughters Jean Marie Hall Springfield, MO; Janelle (Toby) Hoherz Center, ND; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Irvin Bruenjes; infant son, Philip; grandson, Anthony Nelson; parents and sister, Rhoda Rynearson.
