Mary Lou Gleich, 91, of Bismarck, ND, passed away on June 5, 2026, with her family by her side.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 11, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1321 Braman Ave, Bismarck.

A Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, June 10, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 3117 E Century Ave, with a rosary/vigil service starting at 7 PM.

Burial will be held to St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Mary was born on May 27, 1935, to James and Louise Lacey in Bismarck, ND, where she was raised and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Schools.

She married Tony Gleich on November 3, 1954, and together they had 7 children.

In 1971, Mary and Tony moved from Bismarck to the farm in Baldwin where countless memories were made. Weekends were spent with the entire family, when they would make their German recipes amidst card games and children playing on the hay bales. Being surrounded by family was when she was happiest. She was active in the St. Mary’s Alumni Association and the Christian Women’s Association and enjoyed ceramics, reading, and traveling.

Mary is survived by her children, Donny (Sandy) Gleich, Kathy (John) Clausen, David (Tammy) Gleich, and Dan (Laura) Gleich; daughter-in-law, Linda Gleich; brother-in-law, James Gleich; sister-in-law, Carol Lacey; 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Virginia (Tony) Funk, Monica (Mel) Fischer, and Bob Lacey; husband, Tony Gleich; sons, Dennis Gleich, Tom Gleich, and Pat Gleich; grandson, Jason Zietz; and great grandson, Ethan Points, as well as several in-laws.
