Melinda “Mindy” Schmidt, 54, Driscoll, passed away November 4, 2018, surrounded by her daughter, Kandy, granddaughter, Briar, special friend, Bruce, childhood best friend, LeAnn Sabinash, and cousin Judy, at St. Alexius Health, Bismarck, after a short, fast, battle with cancer. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday, November 8, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck. Cremation has taken place. Mindy was born October 9, 1964, in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Gordon and Marian (Christianson) Swenning. She was raised in Driscoll and graduated from Driscoll High School. Mindy bartended at various places in the Bismarck/Mandan area. She especially enjoyed the times spent with her grandchildren, Briar and Amerah, whether baking or just hanging out watching tv. Mindy is survived by her daughter, Kandy; her granddaughters, Briar and Amerah; her special friend, Bruce; cousins, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her grandparents.
