Michael James Quinn, 37, of Bismarck, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 14, 2026.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, August 26, at Ascension Catholic Church, 1825 S 3rd St.

A Visitation will from 5-7 p.m., on Tuesday, August 25, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 3117 E Century Ave, with a vigil starting at 7 p.m.

Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery.

Michael was born on October 16, 1988, in Bismarck, North Dakota, to Kevin and Jolene (Anton) Quinn.

He graduated from Bismarck High School in 2007. Michael was very artistic throughout his whole life. He received a scholarship at the age of 16, to attend the Theo Art School. His drawings and creations were displayed in the school and are now with his family and friends, where they will be cherished forever. He enjoyed running and was very athletic. He was involved in football and track during his junior high and high school years. He later attended Rasmussen College in Bismarck, for a Bachelor of Science degree in Game and Simulation Programming.

Michael worked in various jobs, including Midwest Motor Express, Dakota Flooring, Dan’s Supermarket, GameStop, and Flash Printing. At different points in Michael’s career, his tender heart led him to work with developmentally disabled individuals at Pride, Inc., HIT, Inc., and Community Options.

Michael had an avid interest in computers and computer gaming which led him to build several computers throughout his life. He loved spending time and laughing with family and friends, playing frolf, going to the river, or just hanging out with his family on movie nights while eating snacks and food his mom had prepared. He was an exceptional eater!

He had an immense love for all types and forms of music which included playing guitar, drums, and harmonica. He sang and also wrote music & poetry as often as he could.

Michael will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, generosity, quick-witted humor, warm smile, contagious laugh, and artistic talents. He also gave the best hugs that showed his generous love.

Michael is survived by his parents, Kevin and Jolene Quinn; sister, Taylor; brother, Riley (and fiancé, Vogue); grandmother, Hattie Anton; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous amounts of friends and acquaintances.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patrick & Jeannette Quinn, and George Anton; three uncles, Patrick Anton, Galen Anton, and Dean Anton; and 2 cousins, Meagan Anton and Ryan Anton.
