Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Nadine Marie Bratz, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, who left us on June 15, 2026, at the age of 46. Nadine was born on December 5, 1979, in Bismarck, North Dakota, to Della Slagg and Pete Bratz. Her life, although too brief, was filled with laughter, creativity, and an unwavering dedication to those she held dear.

Nadine's early years were spent in the embrace of her family, surrounded by the wide-open skies of North Dakota. She graduated from Underwood High School in 1997 and went on to attend Minot State University, where she nurtured her love for learning and art. Her career was as diverse as her interests; Nadine worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, in Home Health Care, Marketing, as a Server, and as an Auditor for various stores. In each role, she brought a unique blend of compassion, meticulousness, and humor.

Nadine's life was a tapestry of vibrant interests and passions. An avid supporter of the Minnesota Vikings, she could often be found cheering them on during football season. She embraced the thrill of Halloween and scary movies, a reflection of her adventurous spirit. Known for her love of spicy foods, Nadine had a zest for life that was as fiery as her culinary preferences.

Her artistic talents were renowned among her family and friends. Nadine had a gift for drawing, creating pieces that were more than just art—they were treasured memories, lovingly shared with those she cherished. Her sense of humor was infectious, bringing joy and laughter to everyone around her. Her love for animals and people alike was boundless, and her caring nature touched many lives, leaving a legacy of kindness.

Nadine was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Grandma Jackie and Grandpa Arnold "Pep" Bratz, whose memories she held close. She is survived by a large, loving family that includes Andrew Miller, Shelby Kalvoda, Alexi, Jodi Bratz, Della (Wayne) Slagg, Gabe Cofer, Pete Bratz, Todd Heger, Camey (Wes) Johnson, Deitta (Bob) Zietz, Doreen (Tom) Schaff, Greg (Sherri) Heger, Terry (Vicki) Malnourie, and many more who will continue to carry her spirit forward.

Nadine's family extends an invitation to celebrate her life on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Eastgate Funeral Service, 3117 East Century Avenue, Bismarck, ND, 58503. Visitation will be held one hour prior. It will be a time to honor her memory, share stories of her vibrant life, and find solace in the community she cherished.

In her passing, Nadine leaves us with a message of hope and resilience. She would encourage us not to linger in sadness, but to keep living and laughing. Nadine understood that life is not about perfection, but about finding gratitude and happiness in the imperfect moments.

Though our hearts are heavy, we are eternally grateful for the time we had with Nadine. Her spirit will forever be a beacon of joy, creativity, and love, reminding us to embrace life with a smile and a heart full of kindness.
