Obituary

Pamela (Pam) Jean Redinger, 80, passed away on October 29th, 2026, at St.Vincent's Care Center, Bismarck, ND.

Per Pam's wishes cremation has taken place at Eastgate Funeral and Cremation Services.

A remembrance gathering will be held at a later date along with interment at Fisher Cemetery, Tappen, ND.

Pam was born June 22, 1946 to Quentin and Alice Retterath in Devils Lake, ND, where she spent her childhood and teenage years and where she met and married Vic Redinger on December 14, 1963.

The couple moved to Bismarck, ND where they raised two sons, Deron and Ken.

They rented several places before purchasing a mobile home in 1972 in Mr.B's Estate (Centennial Park), where they lived for the next 54 years.

Pam enjoyed crafting, cross-stitch, knitting, and crocheting. She also collected dolls and spent may hours making clothing for them. She loved word find games and puzzles. Pam was also a good pinochle player and more than once her and Vic had all-night sessions with their good friends and neighbors, Allen and Sherri.

Pam passed her GED in 1983, between the high-school graduations of her sons, an effort she was very proud of. She became a sister again when her father (Quentin) and stepmother (Sheila) adopted Maria (1989) and Pattie (1990).

Pam worked for the Baptist Home in Bismarck for many years until she retired. She and Vic then moved a camper out to the family farm near Steele, ND, where she spent the summer months crafting, working in her rock garden, watching the local wildlife, and occasionally helping Vic with his "chores".

Pam is survived by her son Deron (Barbara), grandson Michael (Chelsea), and great-grandchildren Harlow and Sutton; her son Ken (Janel) and grandson Caden; her brother Terry (Kathy); her stepmother Sheila Koffler (Ron), and stepsisters Pattie and Maria; her sister-in-law Deb Ereth; and her good friend, Fran Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her husband Vic; her parents Quentin and Alice and infant twin brother Terry; her stepfather Delmar Grishkowsky; and her in-laws, Harlan and Amelia Fuller.

And just a suggestion, in lieu of flowers, please consider planting a memorial tree in Pam's name or donating to a charity of your choice.
