Patricia J. Sigurdson, age 79, passed away on September 18, 2026.

Patty was the daughter of Leo and Hilda Tauer. She was raised in Underwood, North Dakota, and graduated from Underwood High School. Following high school, she attended nursing college in Minot, North Dakota.

She married Paul N. Sigurdson, who farmed west of Underwood, and they made their home on the farm for several years. Patty worked at Prairieview Nursing Home in Underwood, following by her mother’s example, she became the director of nursing. After retirement, Patty and Paul moved to Bismarck.

Patty is survived by her sister, Peggy (Cary) Johnson of Bismarck; sisters-in-law, Claudia Tauer of Arizona and Barb (Stew) Loken of Minnesota; five nephews; one niece; one great-nephew; and one great-niece.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; brother, Charles and infant brother, James; and parents, Leo and Hilda Tauer.

A graveside burial will be held at Coleharbor Cemetery at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2026.
