Patrick Wengel, 52, Bismarck, passed away July 7, 2018, following a two-year battle with cancer. A service of celebration will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 17, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Moffit Cemetery. Patrick was born December 12, 1965; and spent his childhood in Bismarck with summer visits with his grandparents in Minot. He attended Bismarck grade schools and St. Mary’s junior and senior high schools, attending college in New Mexico and Minot, ND. He worked for many years in Minot with Straight Concessions, moving to other companies, at the time of his death he was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Bismarck. Patrick is survived by his mother, Carol Wengel; very good friend, Ashley and Jamie Nicolson; aunt, Hazel Walsh; uncle, Richard Wengel, Minot; cousins, Marie Eppson, Bekki Walsh, Michael Walsh, and Rhonda Cook. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his aunt, Jeanne Wengel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
