Paul Folmer, Jr., passed away on August 5, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by family after choosing to stop dialysis following a two year-battle with end-stage renal failure. Paul has asked not to have a service but instead do an act of kindness to forgive a loved one or a friend that you have quarreled with. Call a person you have not talked to in a while take them out for coffee or a meal.
Paul worked in many different fields including that of an aircraft painter, massage therapist, CNA, machinist and correctional officer. He worked several years on the keystone pipeline before finishing his last 13 years in the oilfield as a roustabout and lease operator.
He loved fishing, hunting, and woodworking. This last year he was able to have many cherished fishing trips with his son, daughter-in-law, and his grandchildren. Paul found a personal relationship with his savior Jesus, outside of Sunday services. He said many times that he cannot wait to meet the Lord. Through his struggles he found hope and a peace of mind. He died filled with joy, peace, and God's grace.
He is survived by his step-mother, Lenora Folmer; two children, Anthony (Erika) Folmer, Claire Ann (Gage) Marler; five grandchildren, Aires Hoff, Skyler Folmer, Gabriella Folmer, Jakoby Folmer; step-sister, Maureen (Kevin) Mohl; and a friend he felt more of a brother than a friend, a man who was there through thick and thin, his brother Cameron Moe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Janice (Roeder) Folmer; daughter, Ashley Folmer; grandparents and many aunts, uncles and friends.
