Raymond Heyne

Raymond L. Heyne, 85, died peacefully in his sleep on August 2, 2022 at Sanford Hospital, Bismarck, ND.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, 10:00 am, at Mandan Baptist Church, Mandan, ND.

He was born on May 20, 1937, the youngest child of Albert and Freida (Serr).  He grew up on a farm in the Temvik area. On November 23, 1958 he married Norma Putnam. Before entering into farming, Ray ran heavy equipment for the construction of the Minuteman Missile Silos in the Minot/Velva area. In addition to farming, Ray owned and operated his own trucking business and later returned to operating heavy equipment before his retirement.  

Grateful to have shared his life are his four children, Micheal (Karen), Gary (Michelle), Rhonda, Reed; his sister, Florence Kiemele; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  

He was  preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma; sister, Betty Beseler; and son-in-law, Doug Stone.  

Ray enjoyed building and flying RC model airplanes, fishing, and spending time with his family.
