Richard “Rick” Joseph Krebs, 66, Bismarck, died on May 24, 2025

Vigil and Rosary Service will be held Thursday, May 29 at 7 PM at Cathedral of the Holy Spirt. Visitation will be held from 6-7 PM Thursday at the Cathedral.

Burial be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.

Rick was born on May 23, 1959 to John and Marie Krebs. He was raised on a farm east of New England, North Dakota and attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in New England. He graduated from Mary College in 1981 with degrees in business and education.

Rick began his career as a teacher and coach at Hebron Public School, where he worked for two years. He then joined Fireside Office Solution, where he worked until retiring early due to the progression of ALS.

On July 29, 1983, Rick married Kathy Jo Doll. Together they raised two sons, Michael and Fr. Douglas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Krebs, his son, Michael; and his brothers Ronald and Kevin.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy, his son Fr. Douglas, daughter-in-law Abby Krebs Reiser; and grandchildren, Mason and Aden. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Gary (Katy) Krebs, Sr. Lavonne Krebs, Marilyn Mohrman, Jeanette Krebs, Elaine (Bob) David, Charles (Margaret) Krebs, and Sharon (Marty) Kendrex, along with several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Light of Christ Schools in Bismarck or Bismarck Diocese Vocation Fund.
