Robert "Bob" Bender, 84, passed away on ­­­August 27, 2025.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 1, 2025, at ­10:00AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 1919 N 2nd St, Bismarck, ND. Visitation will continue one hour prior to mass. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck from 6:00 - 7:00PM with a rosary/vigil starting at 7:00PM.

Burial will be Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 9:00AM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.

Bob was born in St. Anthony on September 17, 1940, to John and Frances (Eckroth) Bender. He graduated from Mandan Senior High School in 1958 and joined the US Navy that same year.

When he returned from his years of service in 1961, he worked for Dakota Flooring and Strand Construction. After that, he formed his own company, Bob Bender Construction, until his retirement in 2002. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and later, lake life at Lake Isabel. He was also a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan.

Bob is survived by his son, Kenneth Bender and Ken's daughters Taryn Bender and Devyn Bender. Also, his younger son, James (Cristie) Bender and their sons, Andrew Bender and Ethan Bender. He also leaves his sisters, Shirley Hruby and Dorothy Martin, and sister-in-law, Francine Bender.

He was predeceased by his parents John and Frances and his brother Norman Bender.
