Rodrigo
Martinez Garza
May 16, 1997 — Aug 30, 2026
Rodrigo “Rigo’ Jr. Martinez Garza, 29, of Bismarck, went to heaven on August 30, 2026.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy.
Rigo was born on May 16, 1997, in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He attended the University of Northwestern Ohio, where he earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Automotive and High-Performance Technology.
Rigo was a committed automotive technician at Northwest Tire and was also recognized for his strong work ethic at Lincoln Repair Shop. With his contagious, outgoing personality and pride in being a leader to new employees, Rigo was always creating bonds that would last a lifetime. He befriended everyone he met. Rigo not only cherished the love of his family, but continually added to that family through the many friendships he formed. Rigo considered all the players on his 701 BFOFS, Watford Boyz, and Tappen softball teams to be family. Together, they won championships and numerous tournaments. Even after a long, hard day at work, Rigo always gave his all. Between working overtime and playing in countless games, he still found time to continue building meaningful relationships. He also enjoyed spending his free time riding around town with BisMan Bicycles. Rigo loved everyone, cared deeply for those around him, and will never be forgotten.
Rigo’s family includes his mother, Elizabeth Ozuna; father, Rodrigo Martinez Sr.; stepfather, Miguel Ozuna; stepmother, Karie Martinez; sisters, Emberly Martinez and Elyzette Marie Gutierrez; stepsister, Amanda McHenry; brothers, Lucas Martinez, Nicolas Martinez, Edgar Jr. Gutierrez, Cason Martinez, and Michael Angel Ozuna; grandmothers, Maria Estela Valdez and Irma Martinez; step-grandmother, Sarah Pfaff; step-grandfather, Dennis Pfaff; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his beloved pet, THE BEAST!
“Remember to keep working hard for your family and never stop trying to be a better person every day.” —Rigo
