Ronnie Lee McIntire, 81 years old, who was a resident of Laughlin, NV was born in Los Angeles, CA, on July 1, 1943; passed away on April 30, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, May 8, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Ave, Bismarck. A rosary/vigil service will begin at 7:00 PM.
A funeral service will be held at 9:30 AM, Friday, May 9, at Eastgate Funeral Service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be held at 11:00 AM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Ronnie was married to Rosemary Bushee on Sept. 12, 1963 and they had one daughter named Rochelle. He was employed with the Army National Guard of North Dakota for 32 years. Starting out as a helicopter mechanic and rose to the ranks of Command Sergeant Major.
Ronnie was a sharp shooter and traveled throughout the U.S. to compete in rifle tournaments for the National Guards. While on active duty, he helped with the 500-year flood in Grand Forks, flew helicopters after a major blizzard to help farmers feed their stranded cattle and additionally, went on assignment to Japan and Honduras. In his spare time, he enjoyed deer hunting with his buddies, and had good stories to tell while hunting big game in Idaho. Ronnie was known to have quite a sense of humor.
Ronnie is survived by his spouse, Rosemary McIntire; and child, Rochelle (Robert) Nowak.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raley and Imogene McIntire; sister, Wanda and brother, Raley Jr.
