Burial will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Rose was born on November 8, 1939 to Peter and Agnes Kopp in Raleigh, North Dakota. She was one of 13 children. She was raised and educated in Raleigh, but graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Bismarck.
On April 29, 1961 she married Marvin Klym. They spent most of their life in Racine, Wisconsin. In her early years, she worked as an office manager for Zayr. She later worked at Johnson’s International assisting with commercial lending. In 2004, Marvin and Rose moved to Bismarck to be closer to family. Marvin passed away in 2005.
As Rose moved forward following Marvin’s passing, she found it helped to guide others through grief. She worked closely with Parkway Funeral Service, eventually becoming a facilitator of their grief support groups.
Rose was a kind-hearted woman, always looking for opportunities to help others. She was a member of Corpus Christi in Bismarck, where she would give communion to those who were homebound. When the 2011 flooding occurred, she volunteered at the Red Cross to prepare meals to those who were working to repair damages.
Rose is survived by her son, Ron; in-laws, Dean (Bernarda) Doolittle, Dickinson, Miles (Diane) Bobb, Dickinson, and Yvonne Allen, Escondia, California; special niece, Henri Heidt; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; her parents; and 12 siblings.
