Ruby Rueb, formerly of Napoleon, passed away on November 13, 2024, on her 97th Birthday.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, November 18 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 106 Osage Ave, Bismarck. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Interment at Napoleon Cemetery.

Ruby (Heyne) Rueb was born on November 13, 1927, to Jacob and Albena (Meidinger) Heyne in Temvik, North Dakota. She attended country school through the eighth grade and graduated from Linton High School. Ruby worked as a waitress in several restaurants in Linton and later as an employee in the county auditor’s office.
On September 18, 1949, Ruby married Orvin Rueb, the son of George and Mary (Martel) Rueb of Wishek, North Dakota. The couple made their home in Wishek, where Orvin was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. In 1955, the family relocated to Napoleon, North Dakota, following Orvin's transfer. Ruby continued to work in local restaurants and in varnishing. She enjoyed her membership of many years in the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. Together, Orvin and Ruby raised three children: Patty, Peggy, and Larry.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Orvin Rueb, her parents, and her brother.
She is survived by her children: Patty (Larry) Fuller of Bismarck, Peggy (Davis) Smith of Fargo, and Larry (Barb) Rueb of Bismarck; as well as seven grandchildren: Terri (Justin) Anderson, Bismarck; Stacy (Brian) Slaughter, Minot; Jennifer (Matt) Routledge, Bismarck; Jake (Kari) Smith, West Fargo; Ben Smith, Fargo; Cole Rueb, Kelli (Marcus) Ulmer, all of Bismarck: great-grandchildren: Riley and Reese Anderson, Abbey and Liam Slaughter, and Hannah, Sarah, and Jonah Routledge, Henry and Ruby Smith, and Talan Ulmer: sister-in-law, Eva Heyne of Linton; six nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were a great source of joy and pride throughout her life.
