Scott Opperude passed away in March after a lengthy illness.

A memorial open house in honor of Scott will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 30 at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Ave, Bismarck.

Scott is survived by his mother, Marilyn Skarphol Opperude, Bismarck; daughter, Jessica Barrington, South Carolina; grandson, A.J. Barrington, South Carolina; son, Chris Opperude, Texas; and sister, Lisa Harden, Florida.

Scott lived most of his life in Pompano Beach, Florida, where he worked in construction and spent a lot of his time fishing and boating.
