Semir was born and raised in Bismarck, ND on July 15th, 1998. He graduated in 2016 from Bismarck High School and received his High School Diploma.
Semir could be described as a funny, loyal, spontaneous, and a no-filter type of individual – often making outlandish, yet funny statements. Growing up, he enjoyed playing computer games such as Runescape with his brothers Elvis and Emir, where they teamed up together to go PKing in the wilderness (only the Runescape kids would know). He also spent his time running around the neighborhood with his brother, Emir and the Moser brothers, Tristen, Austin, and Andrew. Throughout his life, Semir has always been good with computers and an avid PC gamer. He spent much of his time exploring the internet and gaming.
Those who were close to Semir knew he was in a long and tough battle with depression and anxiety. His depression began early in middle school and then worsened into adulthood. As the problem progressed, he resorted to drowning the anxiety and depression with alcohol and kratom. He attempted multiple times to stop and deep down he truly wanted to. Semir was a caring individual and was loyal to his friends and family. Semir deeply cared about his mother and wanted to change his ways for her, but often mentioned he couldn’t handle the thoughts associated with severe depression and anxiety. Behind Semir’s pain, was a funny, caring, loyal, and caring individual that wanted to see the light in life, but could not due to the grip depression had on him.
He is survived by his mother, Ajsa Basic, father, Sam Basic, and brothers, Elvis and Emir Basic.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Muhamed Jusic and Dzevdet Basic.
