Sharon was born on April 21, 1952, to Bill and Dorothy Albrecht. She graduated from Bismarck High School in 1971. She was united in marriage to Jim Kuntz of Flasher on June 3, 1972. Together they made a home in Bismarck and raised their daughter, Kim. Sharon was the proud owner of her beloved puppy, Harley.

She worked alongside her father as a bookkeeper at Bill’s Husky and Truck Stop, held various waitress positions, and later retired from the Bank of North Dakota after 31 years of dedicated service as a bookkeeper.

Sharon had a deep love for motorcycle riding with her husband and was a Life Member of Ladies of Harley. Together they traveled extensively, visiting states including Montana, Idaho, South Dakota, California, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and many more. Through riding, Sharon formed many lasting friendships.

She loved the water and treasured weekends spent at the lake with her daughter and family. Much of her childhood was spent along the Missouri River.

Sharon dearly loved her two grandsons and son-in-law, whom she often said were the sons she never had.

After retiring, Sharon welcomed a puppy into her life in October 2020. She named him Harley, inspired by her love of riding. Harley became her constant companion and source of comfort, especially during her final year while undergoing cancer treatments. Sharon found joy in gardening, plants, trees, flowers, and nature—often admiring God’s beautiful canvas. She kept everyone who visited her laughing until the very end.

Her favorite song was “The Cross Was Enough” by Jelly Roll. Her faith brought her great comfort throughout her journey.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Kuntz; daughter, Kim (Brian) Hendrickson of Minot; two grandsons, Tyler Hendrickson of Fargo and Ryan Hendrickson of Minot; siblings, Connie Albrecht of Helena, MT, Penny (Butch) Olson of Bismarck, and Dean (Terri) Albrecht of Bismarck; sibling in-laws, Nick (Maggie) Kuntz of Orting, WA, Sharon (Danny) Hoskins of Gulf Shores, AL, Kathy (Zane) Squires of Trego, MT, Tim (Patty) Kuntz of Bismarck, Vernon Kuntz of Fond du Lac, WI, and Jerry Kuntz of Columbus, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Dorothy Albrecht; parents-in-law: Nick and Jenny Kuntz; brother, Danny Albrecht; and sister, Candy Stearns. The family would like to give a special “Thank you” to the wonderful care Sharon received from the Sanford Cancer Center and the Doctors and Nurses on 7th floor at Sanford Hospital.
