Sharon Marie Vetter, 59, formerly of Bismarck, passed away peacefully and went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 7, 2025.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 10, at Church of St. Anne, 1321 Braman Ave, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, May 9, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. A rosary/vigil service will begin at 7:00 PM.
Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.
Sharon was born on October 2, 1965, the daughter to Mary (Gross) and John Vetter. Sharon was the 12th child out of 15 children.
She grew up on a farm near St. Michael's Catholic Church east of Linton. After graduating from the Linton Public School, Sharon moved to Bismarck and lived in a group home setting, working with Pride Industries.
In 2012 Sharon transitioned into an apartment at the Patterson Place, Bismarck. In 2020 she transferred into housing where she needed 24-hour care.
She enjoyed walking, playing Bingo, word searches, listening to old time polka music (which her German ma taught her), dancing, and singing. Sharon had a comical sense of humor. She was most happy being around family members and friends.
In 2025 Sharon became a resident at Prospera Community - Sunset Drive Mandan, where she required a skilled nursing home until she passed.
Sharon is survived by her siblings, Mary Lou (Clarence) Kuss of Jamestown, ND, Bernie (Martin) Nagel of Bismarck, Frances Page of Bismarck, John (Nancy) Vetter of Detroit Lakes, MN, Joe (Berna) Vetter of Bismarck, Myles Deisz of Bismarck, Georgiana (Mark) Holzer of Bismarck, Jolenta Vetter of Bismarck, Marlene (Jim) Hoffman of Lincoln, Terry (Terrysa) Vetter of Linton, ND, Josie (Jesse) Orgaard of Center, ND, Carol (Mike) Meier of Bismarck, Donnie (Tanya) Vetter of Northport, FL, and Michelle (Mark) Keller of Bismarck; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Alan Dale Vetter; her parents; her grandparents, Joseph and Veronika Vetter, George and Frances Gross; sister, Veronica Deisz; nephews, Tyler Orgaard, Derick Deisz, Dan Page; and Bruce Martin.
The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to Pride Industries, Enable INC. Bismarck, and Prospera Community - Sunset Drive, Mandan. A special thank you to Sharon’s guardians, and sisters, Josie Orgaard and Michelle Keller. Thank you for all your support you have given to Sharon, it meant a lot more to family than you know, you are all truly blessed.
