Sharon was born in Hammond, IN to Elmer and Inez Leimbach. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church where she attended until the eighth grade. The family moved to Bismarck in 1954.

Sharon and Jim were married on November 24, 1961. Their home in Menoken, ND was their favorite as they could plant all the flowers and trees that they loved.

Sharon dearly loved her brother, Bill, and was always eager to be a part of his activities. The last few years every Sunday night they had time set aside for a phone visit. She always looked forward to Christmas Eve at Grandpa and Grandma Leimbach's, surrounded by aunts, uncles, and cousins.

One of her favorite places to work was Zion Lutheran Church where she was secretary. She also worked at the State of North Dakota Human Services where she then retired.

No one loved dogs more that Sharon, live ones and stuffed ones. Annie, Dexter, and Scout were at the top of her list. She loved to crochet, paint, and do crafts. Eating out was a pleasure and she always left an encouraging note on the receipt for the wait staff. She was always thinking of others.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Jim; her brother, William (Catherine) of Texas, along with their children, Beth, James, and Kim and their families. Plus, many cousins and countless friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
