Steve A. Schimetz, 70, Bismarck, died Aug. 23, 2021, in Bismarck. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26 at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Ave., Bismarck.

Steve was born March 8, 1951, in Minot, the son of Mike and Marvel (Bakken) Schimetz. He grew up and attended schools in Minot. Steve worked at Bobcat in Bismarck as a draftsman and computer programmer.

On February 23, 2001, he married Sharee Mueller in Bismarck.

He enjoyed reading and hunting.

Steve is survived by his wife, Sharee; in-laws, Marvin (Violet) Bodvig, Dawson, and Pat (Delilah) Wald, Bismarck, and Cheryl Mueller, Steele.
