Steven Scott Gross, 68 years old was born November 23, 1956. This Talented Blue-Eyed Artist was raised in Minot, ND, by his parents Bill and Jae Gross, alongside his siblings Lisa (Crees) and David Gross.
He was an energetic force of his class of 1975, Magic City Magicians, and he made friends everywhere he went. Steven was athletic and achieved. He had a full life, was adventurous and traveled around the world in his younger years, working at SeaWorld and Lake of the Ozarks before working for the family business in insurance in Minot for years always being a great guy to know.
Married twice along the way, handsome, strong with the most beautiful eyes, blue and like no others, leaving many heads turned throughout his whole life. His personality was charming, sympathetic, empathetic, kind and loving, you couldn’t help but feel safe in his presence even though he was gone.
The thrill seeker, hang gliding, hiking, waterskiing barefoot, hiking, and he loved riding his bicycle 2000 miles per summer. He finally hung up his wings the 1st time when his daughter SteviRae was born May 23, 1990. She’s been the apple of his eye and his “only one,” until 2020 when Harley Rae was born making him a proud grandpa. Continuing his tradition getting a buggy so Harley could learn how to enjoy the ride from the back of Papa’s bike.
He had a great deal of pain with pancreatic cancer, just being officially diagnosed March 5, 2025. He fought with his heart and soul not wanting to leave behind his daughter and granddaughter. The pain was unfair and brutal, God finally came to save him out of his suffering April 25th, at 7:30 am on a beautiful warm morning full of sunshine, he was called home with the promise we'd meet again in the next room.
There will be a celebration of life held May 23, 2025, SteviRae’s 35th birthday in Custer Park - Stage starting 2 PM. We welcome everyone to come celebrate the life of Steven and birthday for his daughter.
