Steven Dirk Thompson

Steve Thompson, 53, of Bismarck, ND, passed away untimely and unexpectedly in the first week of April 2024. 

Steve was a free-spirited man whose infectious laughter and unpredictable presence could light up any room. His greatest joy in life was witnessing the happiness and success of his children, whom he loved unconditionally.
 
In his free time, Steve found solace and excitement on the open road, riding his motorcycle with the wind in (what was left of) his hair. He also had a passion for the thrill of the game, spending many evenings playing poker with friends and family, as well as in various tournaments.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Dorothy; devoted father, Roger; step mother, Laura; siblings, Jim, Mike, Jason, and Dawn; adored sons, Brandon and Alex; his daughter-in-law, Paige; the mother of his children, Korena; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Steve will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched with his kindness, humor, and unwavering love.
